Our Story

I'm Aislinn, owner of Solace Sister Gifts.

I have worked as a Social Care Worker for over a decade, working with people with intellectual disabilities. I gain great comfort in caring for others and have a passion for creating handmade gift hampers and boxes for family and friends. I love to give gifts that evoke feelings in others of care, compassion, and love. I have always admired the amazing products produced by Irish businesses and dreamed of starting my own gift box business one day.

Under unfortunate circumstances, my dream was realised. During the COVID-19 lockdown, my Father was diagnosed with cancer, and passed away soon after. A few weeks after my Father’s passing, I received an amazing homemade gift basket from a close friend. The comfort and solace this thoughtful gift gave me was precious and encouraged me to follow through on my dream business. I spent the proceeding months researching bespoke Irish products and developing my gift box company.

The mission of Solace Sister Gifts is to produce gift boxes for people in Ireland to cater for all occasions whether to bring joy, solace, and comfort during difficult times or to celebrate times of happiness. We also believe in the power of giving a gift ‘just because’, to let someone know you are thinking of them.

 

I am very proud to say that each gift box is beautifully put together with care by hand and includes only high-quality Irish products in beautiful keepsake boxes. There is something special and rare about a present that is hand-made in Ireland, delivered to your door.
